**Main Responsibilities**:
- Creating detailed project requirements/specifications that decouple the breadth of the solution from the depth of the solution.
You need to be an analytical thinker with deep domain knowledge responsible for translating business requirements from stakeholders into detailed requirements for the software engineers to implement
**What you’ll do**:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at various levels to elicit and validate requirements.
- Create, analyze, and validate detailed functional/technical specifications document.
- Participate in user meetings to gain an understanding of customer processes, ideas, and issues.
- Work closely with developers/engineers to ensure the solution is being built to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members throughout the Project Life Cycle process for requirements gathering, feedback on proposed designs and models, and acceptance testing.
- Use best-practice risk management, anticipate and assess risks and create mitigation plans.
- Developing test plans in conjunction with the QA team.
- Ensure quality, accuracy and completeness of project artifacts.
**Experience & Skills**:
- At least 1 year of related work experience in Information technology business analysis that includes writing requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Able to look at the big picture, speculate and conceptualize outcomes and identify trends.
- Superior planning skills with the ability to handle the workload and facilitate the activities of dynamic workgroups.
- Expert knowledge of all phases of the project life cycle, with an emphasis on requirements elicitation, process modeling, documentation, communication, org readiness.
- Experience with SQL.
- Understanding of data warehousing and translation technology is an asset.
- Working knowledge of XML, FTP, ETL, API, and Web Services are very strong assets.
- API related project experience is an asset.
- Exceptional research skills and resourcefulness.
- Effective communication skills; listening, written and verbal; ability to communicate. complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
