The role or functions defined for this position are to supervise the operations area coordinator, oversee the warehouses, Cargo Wise system analysis, meet corporate and country KPIs, support and escalate relevant problems and issues with coordinators, management and suppliers. Provide direct support to the project coordinator, supervisor and area manager.
Responsibilities of Senior Logistic Specialist
- Supervise that warehouses comply with safety and operational standards for the correct handling of cargo.
- Implement processes.
- Escalate problems and relevant issues to the area manager.
- Escalate with suppliers when there are service/delay issues.
- Identify and solve obstacles in daily work.
- Maintain internal and external (customers) KPIs according to goals instructed by both Management or Customers.
- Identify and communicate to the Airline Manager if any team is not following the guidelines.
- Travel to the different branches for implementations.
**Duties**:
- Getting involved in cargo damage problems inside the warehouses
- Implement new customers
- Ensure that the distribution teams of the different BRANCHs handle CW files correctly, opening, invoicing, data entry.
- Ensure that the departments follow the processes implemented by the company.
- Conduct training
- Visit customers
- Meet with suppliers
- Reviewing with customers Customer Service customer service
Requirements for the position:
- Extensive knowledge of air and ocean freight.- Easy to deal with and negotiate with.
- Pro-active attitude and leadership skills. - Ability to: work under pressure, assertive in decision making. - Flexibility of schedule and to travel as required by the job.- Responsible, dynamic and collaborative
- English language skills.
