The ultimate goal of the Associate Director is to accelerate the growth year on year providing Project Services, Contract Services and Management Consulting within the Mining Sector in Chile and provide support to Colombia and Peru if required.
**Job Description**:
The role and responsibilities will include business planning and targeting, relationship building, marketing & business development to secure commissions, recruitment of management and technical Staff relating to delivery, establishing a culture of quality delivery, delivery itself and providing direction and quality management of mega commissions, cross trading and selling of the suite of **Turner & Townsend** services.
**Business Planning**:
- Develop a business plan to sell services with clear accountability and targets
- Implement plans and targets and monitor selected locally based global and regional key accounts
- Review the business plan, key accounts and take corrective action
- Agree major programme priorities and plan for fees ,services and staffing including recruitment needs
- Marketing and Business Development, to include:
- Prioritize clients on revenues and margins, current and potential
- Build personal relationships with decision makers
- Manage team relationship building process
- Manage Sales process
- Convert opportunities through management of bid process
- Adapt new product Service Development from region and global
**Operations and delivery**:
- Manage and oversee operations position will be billable until staff complement of 10-12 is reached
- Manage Quality Assurance process
- Conduct Client Care process
- Manage more work process with key account Plans
- People Management
- Oversee with HR the people process “recruit to retire”
- Use regional and on the job training for staff
**Commercial Management**:
- Manage process of commercial bidding with financial manager
- Assess financial performance of ongoing jobs and seek improvement
- Manage billing process and interact with Financial Director, Commission Managers
**KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS**:
- Achievement of Industry sales budget
- Sales and delivery to target
- Staff satisfaction and retention to target
- Client satisfaction as measured in the client care process
- Services and delivery model development as measured in targeted margins
Qualifications**
REQUIREMENTS**:
- Degreed, ideally has worked overseas
- 15 years plus experience in mining consultancy or contractor
- Project controls background with emphasis on cost management;
- Has an established network in Chile to gain market intel, get introductions, sell to;
- Is able to cold call and set up meetings with support;
- Has collaborative mindset able to work with other countries in region ;
- Can prepare presentations, is able to present to audiences and clients;
- Is able to manage and deliver projects as required
