This position will be temporarily vacant for a period of eleven months.
This position is located in the International Trade and Integration Division of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean in Santiago, Chile. The incumbent reports directly to the Officer in Charge.
**Responsibilities**:
Within limits of delegated authority and depending on location, the Research Assistant may be responsible for the following duties:
- To coordinate activities to be developed in UNRSF projects, related to project management and reporting to the Road Safety Fund.
- Support in positioning ECLAC as a leading road safety entity in the region.
- Administrative support in the preparation of reports related to road safety projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Job - Specific Qualification
Complete studies in business management,
international relationships, transport, or public administration is required.
Higher education degree is desirable.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of experience on transport research is required.
Experience in Road Safety matters is desirable.
Experience in project managing in an international organization is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written Spanish and English is required.
NOTE: ‘Fluency’’ equals a rating of ‘’fluent’’ in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand).
