**About Us**
Merama is seeking to become the best and largest online group of brands in Latin America. Our business model consists on partnering with the leading merchants across Latin America (with a focus on Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and Chile) and, with our team, capital, and technology, fueling additional hypergrowth. **Our Team**
Under the Global Accounting Head, the accounting department's principal roles are issuing financial statements in accordance with IFRS, timely filing of taxes in accordance with the country's local regulations, and ensuring compliance with the company's accounting policies. Our team is results-driven, we enjoy analyzing the numbers of our companies,
and planning the fiscal and financial strategies, we have great communication skills and work with a lot of experts in each area.
**Role for You**
The objective of the position will be to contribute to the company's mission, vision and policies for its success in the short, medium and long term, analyzing and providing useful financial information on time.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Recording of transactions in the accounting system.
- Inventory control and stock card.
- Reconciliation between invoicing and sales in the different marketplaces.
- Reviewing accounts balances and their supporting documentation.
- Issuing tax documents.
- Account analysis.
- Monthly tax calculations (VAT, WHT and CIT prepayments)
- Annual taxes
- Monthly accounting and fiscal closing.
- Attendance to requests from external auditors.
- Preparation of financial statements.
- Compliance with the work program (focused on improvements) and follow-up of pending issues.
**You must have these**:
- Experience in accounting and taxes (3 - 5 years)
- Account analysis
- Experience in electronic invoicing.
- Presentation of monthly and annual taxes.
- Charge of accounting expenses in the accounts payable platform.
- Preparation of accounting records, amortization and depreciation.
- Preparation of basic financial statements.
- Good relationship and empathy (will deal with many stakeholders).

- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Intermediate or advanced English proficiency
