**Junior Accountant**

**The Position**:
The office is located in Ottawa Ontario (Canada). This is a full-time permanent and remote position. For this role, preference will be given to those who are in the Eastern Time Zone or within 3 hours difference.
We are looking for an energetic, detail oriented, and well-organized Junior Accountant to support the financial operations and month end activities of our global business.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Make collection calls and provide excellent customer service to Spanish speaking Customers.
- Reconcile A/R Statement of Account with Customer’s records
- Record Vendor bills and submit for approval following company policies and procedures
- Liaison and coordinate with Sales Team and A/R Specialist to ensure timely collection and manage the account within their credit limits
- Provide coverage for A/R Specialist when on leave
- Reconcile Bank Statements and business credit cards in accordance with Company policy
- Enter bank fees and other recurring expenses and bank transfers
- Enter vendor bills in for business expenses
- Coordinate with the Finance Team and perform month end tasks as per schedule so that monthly financials are complete and timely.
- Cross check source documents like bill of ladings, scale tickets, SOs and POs against vendor bills and customer invoices for accuracy, proper posting period and completeness.
- Attach digital copies of vendor invoices to vendor bill entries in the Accounting system.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as requested by Manager
- Attend and participate in virtual daily team meetings and weekly Company-wide meetings
- Stay up to date on Company policies and processes and bring ideas for improvement to your Manager
- Other duties as assigned by your manager
**Preferred Skills/Experience**:
- College/University education in Business/Accounting
- Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a similar role
- Proficient in NetSuite Oracle ERP
- Excellent Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel
- Excellent English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Works collaboratively with others
