**About the Role**:
Reporting to the Manager P&R; of Escondida, the Specialist P&R; supports the Finance function in continuously improving its effectiveness through delivery of data driven solutions to improve the businesses operational and financial performance.
- Works with the operation to collect and process all inputs to 2-Year Budget, quarterly forecasts and month end actuals, focusing on driving performance to benchmarks.- Analyses output of these processes to identify for variability and improvement opportunities.
- Uses models, systems and tools to ensure an optimal approach in delivering business requests that drives process efficiency and standardisation.
- Works with the finance business partners to ensure there is a robust plan for delivery of functional plans. There must be a strong focus on driving performance to benchmarks.
- Confidently present ideas, results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Deliver comprehensive data analysis to support value identification the assets.
- Works collaboratively to deliver process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and standardisation. Optimises planning by working closely with the Manager of P&R; and its peers.
- Provides critical and accurate financial analysis to support decisions on tactical and strategic business challenge
**About You**:
To be successful in the role, you will need to have:
- Professional degree of commercial engineer (business administration) or industrial civil engineer
- Focus on continuous improvement, reinforcing the need to challenge the status quo and promoting and driving change initiatives and quick wins with other team members.
- Strong analytical capacity, analysing complex business process, identifying improvement opportunities and recommending solution options.
- Good stakeholder management, with the ability to navigate in a highly complex, global and dynamic organisation that requires indirect influence.
- Facility to learn and quickly adopt new systems and processes
- English level intermediate or above
- Advanced level of excel
- Desirable knowledge of SAP and information systems
