Monitors inventory levels on a daily basis
- Creates and continuously improves replenishment and finished goods inventory strategies and processes
- Assesses and interprets inventory data and makes recommendations for changes to inventory practices
- Reviews movement reports for low stock/stock-out scenarios and provides this information to appropriate departments
- Serves as inventory resource to internal stakeholders (e.g., editorial, sales, planning)
- Initiates daily cycle count activities; produces regular cycle count reports
- Audits cycle counts for regulatory compliance purposes
- May coordinates the physical movement of inventory between warehouses
- Serves as internal resource and troubleshooter for distribution and warehouse transactions
- Diagnoses cross-functional and department inventory-related issues, prioritizes them and knows how to identify resources to resolve them
