**Position Responsibilities**:
- Be responsible for maintaining and scaling services for complex and high throughput.
- Implement automation (CICD, IaC) and promote best practices for our CI/CD processes
- Build and maintain monitoring for all aspects of infrastructure and the platform and implement Alerting mechanism using cloud native solutions
- Act as the go to person for any production issue, troubleshoot and escalate as needed and monitor until successful resolution. Communicate status with the team and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with Delivery team in defining Error Budget, SLO and SLI.
- Participation in all aspects of the development lifecycle: Ideation, Design, Build, Test and Operate.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging cloud technology trends, especially around DevOps, Service Reliability and Security.
- Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance.
- Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at scale.
- Build tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices.
- Build tools and process to reduce toils.
- You are not an operator; you are an experienced software engineer focused on operations.
- Participate in on-call rotation, being responsible for uptime and support.
- Roll up your sleeves to troubleshoot incidents, formulate and test your hypotheses, and narrow down possibilities to find the root cause.
**Qualifications**:
- 3+ year of experience in Site Reliability engineering with hands on experience in cloud technologies
- Extensive knowledge and skill in Linux, Unix and Windows
- Experience or knowledge of Container technology such as Docker,
Kubernetes and Istio service mesh
- Experience or knowledge of Distributed logging: ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, SumoLogic, Jaeger or Zipkin
- Understanding of modern web architecture (HTTPS, REST) and technology stacks
- 2+ years of experience with programming/scripting languages (Bash, Go, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience with deployment automation using Ansible, Packer, and Terraform
- Experience with version control systems like GitHub, bitbucket etc.
- Experience with artifact repositories like nexus and artifactory etc.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps
- Experience supporting various databases such as MySQL, SQL, Redis, and various NOSQL engines
- Experience working in the Azure Cloud
- A problem solver with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
**Nice to Have**:
- 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps
- Certification in Azure DevOps Expert
- Experience supporting payment system
