Business Systems Analyst

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for working with internal Process Owners and Business Stakeholders of the ServiceNow platform to ensure that features and enhancements are completed satisfactorily and defect-free. The incumbent will meet regularly with stakeholders to define requirements and acceptance criteria for solutions that the ServiceNow team releases. This job plays a critical role supporting the ServiceNow platform which is the foundation for IT processes and compliance, and a strategic platform for workflow enablement, and automation.

**What will my duties and responsibilities in this job?**
- Acts as the stakeholder / IT liaison during analysis,





requirements definition and design activities; maintains an understanding of business processes and related systems for supported business units; participates in management of customer expectations, collaborates with business partners to define and document business and functional requirements and works with technical staff to develop solution alternatives.
- Coordinates testing activities for maintenance and project assignments; identifies testing scope and scenarios, including estimates of effort, duration and resources required; prepares test plans and scripts; performs systems testing of moderate complexity; coordinates testing efforts and activities including test scheduling, results monitoring, feedback and sign-offs; coordinates issues tracking and resolution.
- Participates in the Agile Development process; contributes to team deliverables by participating in Agile Scrum Meetings to communicates status, identify potential causes and solutions to roadblocks,





and keeps management and other stakeholders informed of work assigned to them during a given sprint.

**What are the requirements needed for this position?**
- Requires an Associate Degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of Business Systems Analysis, Project Management or related business experience.

**What other skills would be helpful to have?**
- Experience with ServiceNow is a plus
- Familiarity with ITIL framework a plus.
- Awareness in Agile Methodology and processes preferred.
- Familiarity with data content for systems supported is preferred.

- Requires ability to deliver results on time and within budget.
- Requires ability to develop good working relationships with business sponsors, business partners and technical staff.
- Requires knowledge of test planning, analysis and techniques required to support system changes.
- Requires the ability to learn and understand the manual and automated business processes for the business units supported.
- Requires ability to understand business vision, objectives and direction.
- Requires ability to facilitate and present training on moderately complex business processes.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, while meeting stakeholder expectations and concurrently performing maintenance tasks.






- Requires knowledge of and the ability to utilize business systems analysis, modeling, design and documentation techniques.
- Requires awareness of the capabilities, features and limitation of system development tools.
