**Summary of the Role**:
Mainstream Renewable Power (MRP) is currently recruiting for a Business Development Modeller, responsible for support the Development team in preparing, building and optimizing business & portfolio energy pricing models.
The Development Modeller, cooperating with the Commercial & Finance Team, will manage the economical modelling process from business development and project acquisition activities, until the handover to the Project Finance Team, prior to the Financial Close. The Development Modeller will also support New Markets opening as required.
**What you will do?**

Design, build and maintain economic & pricing models for renewable energy projects including:_**
- Analysis of project income & costs
- Challenge inputs to ensure an accurate representation of the project competitiveness
- Audit/sense check economic & pricing models' outputs are reasonable

Support via economic & pricing modelling, highlighting potential efficiencies & risks in the:_**
- Land acquisition process
- Development opportunities evaluation
- Development business/portfolio optimization
- Renewable energy projects acquisition activities.
- Accurate management of information flows used to maintain economic & pricing models.
- Take responsibility for structural integrity and functionality of models including accounting, tax and regulatory requirements of various LatAm markets.
- Post handover, assist in Due Diligence process for Project Finance activities.
- Work internally as part of multi-functional teams to assess markets and projects as required.
- Clear financial analysis and communication of results.
**What we require?**
- Civil electrical/mechanical/industrial engineering, Bachelor’s degree with Finance or Economics major or similar.
- At least 3 years of experience of energy industry as analyst or associate at an investment bank, private equity fund or energy company.
- Commercial awareness and ability to understand accounting topics and tax structures for renewable energy projects, highlight potential efficiencies / areas of concern within models that require further analysis or support.
- Ability to analyse qualitative & quantitative information for decision making, developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based, financial / economical models.
- Ability to work unsupervised a necessity, but must be able to integrate into diversified multi-functional teams as required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Spanish and English).
