**What we're looking for**:
You are a Senior Sales Engineer who will act as a trusted advisor to our customers by inspiring and influencing them to enable better ways of working and to help them transition into hybrid and multi-cloud environments. You will be responsible for helping define customer strategies,





identifying and matching technology opportunities to business issues and objectives and will assist in developing business value propositions around the Citrix solutions and services.

**Summary**:
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for identifying and matching technology opportunities with a customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training & enablement. Having wide-ranging field sales experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Assist in developing business value propositions around Citrix products and solutions. Drives sales with technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability and a superior customer focus. Participates as part of a sales team to achieve or exceed revenue targets.

**Primary Duties / Responsibilities**:

- As an experienced technology professional with field sales experience, provides pre-sales technical support of the sales process across Citrix Products and Solutions.






- Working with Citrix resources and Channel/Alliance partners to define offering and develop solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations remotely or at customer locations/Citrix facilities on Citrix products value proposition
- Has ability to build complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process.
- Demonstrates product knowledge to provide technical Citrix Expertise to internal sales teams, CSA/SI partners and end users
- Develops customer requirements that map to Citrix solutions, assists with overcoming technical and competitive objections, and accelerates technical evaluation component of sales cycle to close deals.






- Leverages the consultative sales process to prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process.
- Works on issues that impact design/selling success or address future concepts, products or technologies.
- Creates formal networks with key decision makers in assigned accounts.
- Serves as an external spokesperson and evangelist for Citrix’s vision and associated technologies.
- Ability to leverage and maximize CSA/CSBA/SI/ISV partners as the fulfillment channel while working with Citrix end user accounts on IT initiatives.
- Provide regular and efficient updates on assigned accounts to sales engineering management.
- Consistently provides contribution to the broader team’s technical mindshare

**Qualifications (knowledge,





skills, abilities)**:

- Experienced ability to motivate, train and conduct seminars to drive mind share within CSA partners to increase Citrix revenues within assigned territory
- Has the ability to maintain relationships with technical resources at all levels of a customer organization.
- Thorough understanding of technical sales techniques and processes including the ability to understand customer needs, overcome objections, assist in the development of business cases, and technically close deals.
- Able to articulate and understand the customer strategy and Citrix solution strategy to a technical level of detail for their technical area of focus.
- Can independently communicate and present solutions at a C-Level






- Ability to diffuse complicated technical and political situations with partners and customers.
- Must be flexible, dependable, and capable of quickly learning new products and technologies.

**Basic Requirements**:







- 5+ years sales engineering experience in a high tech, indirect sales, partner, or procurement environment with a record of success in driving customer adoption of technology
- Ability to travel within assigned territory
