?? Our Proposal
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our client’s team and lead the support of critical software applications.
This role focuses on AWS infrastructure ☁️ and combines client-centric project delivery with level-3 technical support and continuous improvements through automation ?.
The ideal candidate should have experience in core AWS services, network connectivity, cybersecurity ?, Linux, scripting, and monitoring tools. Familiarity with third-party IDP integration and vendor-managed services will be a plus.
?? Your main responsibilities will be...
- Be the bridge that connects product development with the ProdOps SRE/Support teams! Your role is vital in ensuring seamless service continuity, driving continuous improvement, and upholding technical excellence.
- Embrace a cross-functional role where you’ll collaborate with diverse teams to identify and tackle operational gaps! Focus on key areas like metrics, automation, cost/risk management, performance, reliability, and cloud best practices.
- Work hand-in-hand with Project Managers and Scrum Masters to gather, estimate, prioritize, and deliver both internal and external technical project requirements.
- As Level 3 support, take charge of escalated incidents,
ensuring they’re resolved within defined SLAs.
- Define and document standard runbooks and operating procedures while creating and maintaining clear system architecture diagrams.
- You’ll be accountable for executing periodic release deployments across Dev, CQA, and Production environments with precision, primarily during our client-contracted maintenance windows (mostly Sunday 1 AM-5 AM US CST)
?? Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent with 7+ years of experience, preferably in financial services.
- 5+ years as a Lead or Senior ProdOps/DevOps Engineer, focusing on Java applications in AWS environments.
- AWS Certification and Java Application Development experience required.
- Familiarity with AWS constructs (EC2,
S3, VPC, etc.) and secure connectivity (VPN, Zero Trust).
- Proficient in scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, Ruby) and CI/CD tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of security principles and database concepts (SQL, AWS Aurora/RDS).
