Job Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for the proposal & implementation of Human Resources strategies in the designated region (Chile), aligned with the organization's objectives, as well as the execution of different programs and initiatives. This position functions as a trusted advisor to leaders in the areas of employee engagement, labor relations, employee relations, compensation & benefits, and leadership development.
Partner and support various stakeholders in key business areas to ensure that business goals are realized while organizational capabilities are developed in a fast-paced matrixed organization. Ensure that the HR function is efficient, valued,
and well-regarded among managers and colleagues.
Main responsibilities
- Support the management team in defining strategies and action plans to facilitate the achievement of Thermo Fisher Scientific objectives.
- Develops and drives the HR initiatives and process improvement projects for the designated region, ensuring operational performance.
- Recommend and implement strategies for developing and maintaining a positive engaged work environment.
- Develops operational mechanisms to maintain compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures in line with the region’s labor law and corporate guidelines.
- Advice on employee relations as the need arises to improve workforce performance and productivity, identifying, and addressing people and organizational risk.
- Partner with CoEs to facilitate and provide local feedback on corporate processes.
- Ensure competitiveness and internal equity by supporting and advising the leadership team and CoEs on issues related to compensation and benefits.
- Find opportunities for improvement of processes related to the HR department, proposing efficient solutions and best practices. Challenges the status quo and champions new ideas.
- Participate in additional HR projects, as required.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (ideally within HR related subject)
- Proven progressive experience in Human Resources role
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and coaching skills
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, complex and matrix environment with a high level of change
- Proven knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, benefits, organization development, employee relations.
- Experience with WorkDay would be an advantage.
- Advanced english level, portuguese desirable.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- Travel to other sites as required.
